As you get into the higher levels, it is even more important to try to get a decent HP buff (virtue or conviction) and a KEI (mind buff, that increases your mana pool and regenerates mana much faster). This is because as we get higher, the mobs also become much harder, in comparison to the lower levels. Also remember you can only fearkite mobs until they are level 52, so fearkiting in your mid 60's doesn't become viable anymore, as the mobs will not be high enough for you. However, as you get your Archery Mastery AA's, you can begin to solo mobs by snarekiting, or by using root and shoot.
Hot Spots are zones that give you bonus experience points when you hunt. The following are the current hotspots released with the patch on the 28th February 2008:
Level 45: Skyshrine
Level 50: Akheva Ruins
Level 55: Crypt of Nadox
Level 60: Riwwi, Coliseum of Games
Level 65: Torden, Bastion of Thunder
Level 70: Ruins of Illsalin
For soloing, head to The Jaggedpine Forest, as a preferred zone for fearkiting. Another option is The Eastern Wastes (check out the panic animal guide). For grouping, I always found Echo Caverns to be a good place for fast XP. The beach at Gunthak offers grouping opportunities for late 30's/early 40's and as you get higher, Nadox becomes a decent levelling zone. Negafen's Lair (Naggy's Lair or Sol B) is very good for XP and don't forget you can head into the Planes of Power zones at 46. Plane of Justice is the best zone for your level.
As your near your mid 50's, Natimbi becomes great for fearing turepta cragwalkers, reef crustaceans or hynid fleshrippers. Giant Anacondas in Jaggedpine still give okay XP. In Western Wastes you can also do some decent fearkiting (and foraging whilst you are at it). The Broodlands may also be an option. Grouping is mainly found in the Planes' zones, with Plane of Innovation being a popular location. Velketor's Labyrinth is nice for grouping and DoN missions are also fun!
Soloing options here depend on if you have your archery mastery AA's or not. For 'root and shoot' or snarekiting, you really need AM3. If you have AM2/3 then I have found that Dranik's Scar is okay for your late 50's/early-mid 60's. The mobs near the zone in to Noble's Causeway or The Bloodfields are doable. Mid sixties you can try snarekiting the murkgliders in the valley at the zone in to Noble's Causeway (AM3 a must). If you do not yet have your Archery Mastery AA's in your early sixties, you can still fearkite in Natimbi until 61/62 or you can fearkite Ravenous Nightstalkers in the Plane of Nightmare until your early/mid sixties. Vxed instance is soloable between 65 and 70 for AA Experience (go for for the non summoning mobs - Hynids, Pookas, and Cragbeasts). Grieg's End is also a favourite and you can hack and slash mobs, instead of rooting and shooting. It is also an outdoor zone, so the higher level harmony spell comes in handy! For 70-75 solo experience can be gained from TSS zones, Icefall Glacier (root rot Elder Dire Wolves, Spiders and snarekite goblins or mammoths). Thundering Steppes (root rot gnolls, goblins and Earth Elementals and don't forget to get the corresponding quests from Crescent Reach and Valdeholm). Direwind (Mushrooms and Bears). For grouping at 60 - 65 Wall of Slaughter seems to be the most popular zone and currently has an experience bonus. When you get to 65, Katta Castrum tasks and The Greenhouse are excellent experience. You can also get a group in The Muramite Proving Grounds and at 69, go to the Riftseekers. DoN missions are still popular (Nest groups especially) DoD missions are fun and challenging.
